Katherine Banos is a Los Angeles based bi-coastal actor/writer/producer. She grew up in Syosset, New York on Long Island and has her BFA in Acting from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts [Experimental Theater Wing & Stonestreet Studios]. Her teachers and mentors include Jessica Hecht, Estelle Parsons, and Terry Knickerbocker.
Katherine has extensive experience in the entertainment industry, including working for NBCUniversal, the Public Theater, Shakespeare Center of LA, the Lark Play Development Center, CBS Primetime Casting, Scott Rudin Productions, and the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Last fall, she returned to the role of Lady Macbeth in Shakespeare Center of LA's immersive production of MACBETH, directed by former RSC member Kenn Sabberton. She is currently a tour guide at Universal Studios, a writer's assistant to comedian Tom Green, and recently began working for Glickmania as an assistant to Helena Budnik, Vice President: Television.
Her proudest accomplishment to date is launching her production company LEXINGTON PRODUCTIONS with her producing partner, Madison Tower. Together they produced a short film, RING OF FIRE, written by and starring Katherine. The film was an official selection of 25 film festivals spanning across 3 countries, 11 states, and 23 cities. The film was nominated for 31 awards among the many festivals and won 14. Katherine and Madison are currently co-writing their next short which will be a horror film that they plan to shoot later in 2021.
